pregnant dog question?
i found this mixed dog on the road about a month ago (small dog) we looked for her owners with no luck. well we figured out not to long ago that she was pregnant. she went into labor at 9am yesterday and had 3 pups. (last one born a little after 1 pm) well after hours of her not doing anything (i would of thought she was done but her belly was still a little swelled, not thinned out like she was done) so i called the vet. she stayed overnite there and they gave her some oxitocin and tried to bring on the rest of labor. nothing happened so shes scheduled for a c-section and spay today. my question is will the pup(s) that are in there be alive or dead? itll be about 24 hours since she had her last puppy (according to her csection time) the vet said she was leaking small amounts of liquid when she was pushing last night.

her 3 pups she had last night went to the vet with her (colostrum they got from her already cause the vet said she is taking care of them there.) but im assuming when shes recover from her csection ill have to nurse them for at least a few days. how do i feed her pups? i mean i know a puppy bottle and puppy replacer but how do i hold them to feed them? i dont want to "drown" them. also will i have to burp them? im defenitly assuming someone dumped her when because she was pregnant because i put up flyers everywhere and ads in the paper and no one came 4ward to claim her. its ashame but better for her cause we fell in love with her and now shell have a good home and never have to have pups again
yeah i had her for about 2 weeks when i was like omg, i think shes bred. im not sure if they detached or not cause the vet said she was just leaking a clear (looks like water) discharge, no green color and its sad if they are dead or die but ill bring em home and give them a proper burial they deserve and at least i know i did all i can do. bright side will be if she lives through it and we can love her for many more years!! (and make sure her 3 pups she already has, if they live, get great homes!!!)
She had one dead pup in there. The vet said it looks like it might of been dead a couple of days because she had a whole bunch of black sludge like stuff in her. I went to pick up the pups cause vet said he wants to keep her by herself for the night cause shes really out of it and he doesnt want her to roll on a pup or somethingso theyre keeping her tonight so i gotta bottle feed pups but we go get her tomorrow morning. One more question for everyone. Since she wont be with them tonight will she accept them again when she gets home after her c-section?

It is likely that if she still had pups after 24 hrs, they are probably dead. But still go ahead with the c-section because dead puppies turn to this goo and can poison the dog.

) All you need to do is cut down work hours or take a holiday! During this time you should write up a timetable of ‘life changing’ things your going to do.. and you ARE going to do them. I will make you :p
